Hey, I’m Jayme—the eye behind the lens and the heart behind Storyteller Collective Photo Co. I grew up in the era of scrunchies, mixtapes, and film cameras, which might explain my love for all things nostalgic. For me, photography isn’t just about pretty pictures—it’s about preserving the kind of moments that feel like home. The soft glances, big laughs, quiet pauses, and messy in-betweens. I’m all about capturing emotion as it naturally unfolds, so when you look back at your photos years from now, you don’t just see the moment—you feel it. I create space for you to show up as your full self, so we can tell your story exactly how it deserves to be remembered: beautifully, honestly, and full of heart.

My story

Where it all began—film, feelings, and finding the magic in the everyday.

My love for storytelling started back in the '90s with disposable cameras, scribbled journal entries, and home videos that captured more than just faces—they captured feelings. Over the years, that obsession with documenting the real and the raw grew into a passion for photographing people just as they are. I believe the best stories aren’t staged—they’re found in the in-between. This is more than a job to me—it’s a way to freeze time in the most nostalgic, authentic way possible. My hope? That when you look back at your photos, you don’t just see them. You feel them.

My journey really took off in high school when I first picked up a film camera. There was something about the process—the click of the shutter, the anticipation of waiting for the film to develop—that felt magical. It taught me patience and intentionality, how to slow down and truly see the moment. That early love for film still shapes how I shoot today: with purpose, nostalgia, and a deep appreciation for the beauty in imperfections. Even now, the influence of those first rolls of black-and-white film can be felt in the way I frame a shot or chase the softest light.

My vision has always been simple—preserve the moments that matter most. The ones that feel like a deep breath, a familiar laugh, or a fleeting glance that holds a world of meaning. I believe photography should feel like a memory, not a performance. That’s why I focus on storytelling through an honest, emotive lens—capturing images that bring you back to a feeling, not just a scene. With a heart rooted in nostalgia and a love for life’s beautifully imperfect details, I’m here to document your story in a way that’s timeless, true, and unapologetically you.

For the dreamers who believe in memories over perfection

Fueled by caffeine, curiosity, and a love for good storytelling.

What inspires me is the beauty in the everyday moments—those fleeting seconds that often go unnoticed but hold so much meaning. Whether it’s the laughter shared between friends, the quiet glance between partners, or the feeling of sunlight on a quiet morning, it’s these genuine, unscripted moments that capture life. I’m constantly drawn to the real, the raw, and the messy beauty that unfolds naturally. To me, it’s not about perfection; it’s about telling a story that’s uniquely yours, in the most authentic way possible.

Driven by authentic moments and the timeless stories they tell

Your story, your people, your magic—documented.

When I'm not behind the camera, you can find me sipping on iced lattes, hanging out with my two cats, Peach and Willow, and spending quality time with my husband and kids. I have a deep love for true crime and history, always intrigued by the stories that have shaped our world. On top of all that, I host a podcast called The Millennial Storyteller, where I dive into the stories that make us who we are—candid, unfiltered, and full of emotion. Life’s about the moments we create, and I’m here to capture those moments and share stories that stick with us forever.

Things that make my heart smile

Story-driven images for nostalgic souls.

I’m not just capturing images – I’m telling stories. Every click is an opportunity to preserve a fleeting moment, a raw emotion, a connection that speaks louder than words. With every session, I aim to create an experience that feels as natural as it is unforgettable. Whether it's the quiet glance between partners or the infectious laughter of a family, I believe in showcasing life as it is – real, authentic, and timeless. My goal is to make you feel at ease, so your true self can shine through every photo, letting your personality and story take center stage.

My all-time favorite movie? The Goonies. It’s been a core memory since childhood, and honestly, it still gives me all the feels. There’s just something about a group of kids on an epic treasure hunt, chasing adventure, trusting each other, and never giving up — even when the path is wild (or covered in booby traps). It’s not just the nostalgia (though that’s part of it). It’s the heart. The grit. The magic of ordinary people doing something extraordinary — together. I like to think there’s a little Goonies spirit in every photo I take: chasing real connection, embracing the mess, and telling stories that are anything but ordinary. Because just like Mikey said… “Goonies never say die.” And neither do dreamers with a camera and a passion for storytelling.

One of my all-time favorite books is Alias Grace by Margaret Atwood. It’s a beautifully written historical novel that intertwines mystery, psychology, and social commentary. Set in 1840s Canada, it follows the story of Grace Marks, a convicted murderer whose case remains shrouded in ambiguity. Atwood masterfully blurs the line between fact and fiction, leaving you questioning the nature of guilt, memory, and identity. The way Atwood dives into the complexities of Grace’s character, her troubled past, and the intricacies of the time period makes it an unforgettable read. It’s the kind of book that sticks with you long after you’ve turned the last page, and I’m always happy to revisit it.

When it comes to music, I’m all about that 90s vibe. Whether it's the raw, gritty energy of grunge bands like Nirvana, Alice in Chains, and Soundgarden, or the smooth, soulful grooves of 90s and early 2000s R&B and rap, those sounds will forever have a place in my heart. There’s something about the mix of angst and emotion in grunge music and the unforgettable hooks and storytelling of R&B and rap that really shaped my musical tastes. From headbanging to Kurt Cobain to vibing out to Lauryn Hill, these genres always take me back to a simpler time, and I love how music from that era still feels timeless today.

One of my hidden talents is that I can recite the entire song "Shoop" by Salt-N-Pepa word for word. It's a party trick I’m always ready to whip out, and I’ve been known to get some surprised and impressed reactions when I break into it. I don’t know what it is, but something about the rhythm and flow of the song just stuck with me. It’s always a fun throwback to the '90s, and I’ve got it down to a science—from the opening lines to the final verse. It's a little quirky, but it’s a talent I’m proud of, and it never fails to bring a smile to people's faces! And if you’re ever at a wedding I’m shooting, you might just catch me on the dance floor, busting a move to some '90s jams myself!
